Description
Lewis Archibald, a journalist who wrote for the magazine "Downtown," interviews American film, stage, and television actress Blythe Danner. She discusses her family background, her marriage and her husband (Bruce Paltrow, American television and film director and producer), her acting career, and the roles she played in various productions, such as Jill Tanner in the 1969 Broadway production of the play "Butterflies are free" (for which she received Best Supporting Actress Tony Award), the role of Joan Barlow Maple in the 1979 television movie "Too far to go," and others. Danner also speaks about her experience working with various directors and actors, such as Sidney Lumet, director ("Lovin' Molly" (1974)), and compares her stage and film experience, recalling her theatrical career as her "first love."
