Content: [From the label:] "(a) Of yellow damask silk; skirt pinked at the edges. This dress is a good example of an evening gown as worn by ladies in the American Colonies about the outbreak of the Revolutionary War. (b) The small silver rhinestone brooch on the dress is original and was worn by a member of the family of Charles Carroll, of Carrollton, Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Maryland. (c) The white satin slippers (French) were actually worn during the Revolutionary War. / (a) Presented by Miss Adeline Train. (b) Presented by Penna.
