"This beautiful girl is a striking illustration of what Christianity can do for the Karen women. Mi Lou reads and speaks well five languages, including English, and is now a teacher in the Pwo Karen school at Bassein, where she was formerly a pupil. For several years she did good work among the Shans at Hsipaw."
