Content: Small drawing at upper right shows painting as it appears on its vessel.
Content: Written at bottom: "A winged ichthyomorphic [fish-form] female deity Derecto of Phoenicia or Anaitis of Babylon, with the tail of a marine eel. Beside her is a palmiped ["web-foot"] or swimming bird with a background of sea anemones and zoophytes [plant-like sea animals]. Royal Museum, Berlin."
Content: Anaitis is the Greek form of the name "Anahita", a water goddess connected with fertility.
