Content: Surrey Jail; begins, "I shall be truly happy to see yourself and your friend to dinner next Thursday, and can answer for the mutton, if not for the 'cordials'…" Includes a note signed from Mary Cowden Clarke pasted onto the letter (H'ANA 0100); "This alludes to a hamper of fresh vegetables, which Charles sent every Saturday to the Surrey Jail for dear Leigh Hunt."
