Content: The original reel labeled Cage solo I, was found to be blank during preservation reformatting. Other copies of Cage solo I, were not found in the donated collection.

Extent: 1 audiotape reel (4 minutes) : analog, 7 1/2 ips, 4 track, mono ; 5 in. rewound onto an archival 7 in. reel
Description
Part 1 contains Letter to Erik Satie as a two-channel mix of the four-track original reel. The preservation sound engineer made the mix decisions for this file as follows: "With a soundfield described as being 180° -- 0° being the center, -90° being left, and +90° being right -- this access copy was mixed down from the original as follows: Track 1: panned -90°; Track 2: panned -22°; Track 3: panned +90°; Track 4: panned +22°." Part 2 contains a brief rehearsal of a solo voice component of Letter to Erik Satie.
