Description
La Meri introduces a performance by Charles Weidman's company, held on July 18, 1975, on Cape Cod, Mass., two days after Weidman's death. Streaming audio file (approximately 8 minutes). La Meri, in her opening speech at a dance festival (unidentified) being held on Cape Cod, Mass., speaks about the significance to twentieth century dance of the very recently deceased choreographer Charles Weidman; the program, of Charles Weidman's dances, to be performed by the Charles Weidman Theater Dance Company [the final approximate 1:20 minutes of the recording consists of piano accompaniment].
