Description
Company archivist David Vaughan describes this series, organized by Robert Swinston, as a "living archival presentation" of Merce Cunningham's choreography. This program focuses on Cunningham's work from the 1960s and includes video clips of Story; Variations V; How to Pass, Kick Fall and Run; Place; RainForest; and Walkaround Time, as well as excerpts from Cross Currents, Scramble, and Canfield performed live by MCDC dancers. Each clip or performance is followed by a panel discussion about the piece. Panelists include Valda Setterfield, Louis L. Lloyd and Merce Cunningham; David Vaughan moderates.
