Content: Picture caption: "Am 27.
Content: Title translates German picture caption
Content: The caption's wording is interesting. The signing nations are desribed as "young peoples", reflecting the fascist emphasis on youth (especially in Germany and Italy) as makers of the future world. Opposing countries are called "plutocratic", a word often used by the Nazis to imply control by wealthy Jews. Saburo Kurusu was one of a pair of Japanese envoys negotiating in Washington at the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. A reenactment of the signing of the pact can be seen in the film "Tora! Tora! Tora!".
