Description
They send by the continental schooner Lewis, Capt. Stevens, a cargo of rice and indigo from Carolina to Martinico; if the indigo cannot be disposed of there, he is to reship it to France, consigned to Thomas Morris; the proceeds are to be applied as they have directed; should it be unsafe for the schooner to remain, he is to send her loaded with arms and ammunition to Levinus Clarkson and John Dorsius, continental agents in Charlestown, or to John Wereat, agent in Georgia; the agents will reload her, and in the spring she may be sent back with more arms.
