Description
He feels himself impelled by God to visit his brethren in Europe; he has laid the matter before the religious society of friends, who have signified their sympathy; he has no worldly concern to promote, but simply a duty to discharge laid on him by God; he informs the President and Council of his intention, not because he thinks their consent necessary, but in order to remove all misapprehension.
