Extent: 1 print : lithograph, hand-colored ; 41 x 52 cm.
Description
Depiction of four couples wearing folk costumes of various nations. The central couple may be executing a figure from the mazurka: the man crouches on one knee, lifting his right arm to link hands with the woman, who appears to be circling him. The fireplace in the background, with its screen, clock, and vases, suggests that the action takes place in a domestic interior.
