Content: From Skinner St.; begins, "When you were setting out for Scotland at the end of last year, you left with me a statement of the accounts of Mandeville…" In an unknown hand; clearly a calmer version of (G 0055a), probably composed or dictated by R. W. Hayward, Godwin's solicitor. The letter bears a note written in Godwin's hand.
