Content: Each volume with specially printed introductory pages, including large-sized extra title pages which read: "Byron / By / John Nichol / Volume I [II] / Extended to two volumes by the addition of one hundred and seventy portraits, views, and autographs / 1897."
Content: Grangerized copy, by an unknown compiler, of the New Edition of John Nichol's Byron (1888); all leaves mounted on larger album leaves; extra-illustrated with 150 prints from various 19th c. Byron-related sources; one of Byron's printed visiting cards; and 27 autograph manuscripts by various people relating to Byron's biography, including Byron himself, Lady Byron, Lady Caroline Lamb, Mary Shelley, Robert Southey, Teresa Guiccioli and Madame de Staël.
