- Content: This is a synthetic collection consisting of typescripts, correspondence, a scrapbook, and a photograph of attendees at a reception for Sir Osbert and Edith Sitwell in 1948. The typescripts include contributions submitted by various authors for publication in the Gotham Book Mart Catalog, no. 42, "We Moderns," published in 1940, as well as a list of the authors to be included in the catalog. The correspondence includes letters from various individuals and institutions, dated 1940, to Frances Steloff, ordering copies of "We Moderns." The scrapbook, compiled by Steloff, consists of invitations, correspondence, photographs, etc. relating to the May 4, 1938, publication party for "Finnegans Wake," by James Joyce.
