Tony Straiges (born 1942) is a New York City-based set designer, working in theatre and ballet. He is known for his designs for the original Broadway productions of Sunday in the Park with George (1984) and Into the Woods (1987). Biographical/historical: Tony Straiges (born 1942) is a New York City-based set designer, working in theatre and ballet. After studying design at the Yale School of Drama, Straiges's first designs for the Broadway stage appeared in the 1978 production of Timbuktu!. He won both a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for his scenic designs for Sunday in the Park with George (1984), and was nominated for a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for his sets for Into the Woods (1987).

Shows represented include Broadway, Off-Broadway, touring, and regional theatre productions, as well as ballet productions from throughout Straiges's career. The collection contains designs from the Yale Repertory Theatre production of The Rise And Fall Of The City Of Mahogony (1974), as well as the original Broadway productions of Timbuktu! (1978), Copperfield (1981), Sunday in the Park with George (1984), and Into the Woods (1987). Also included are Straiges's set designs and costume sketches from his studies at the Yale School of Drama.
