Balanchine blocks out movements for Karen Hunt as the princess and Byars -- Rehearsal for the Teapot and the Chinese Cup (ca. 25 min.) / recorded on February 11, 1981. Balanchine and Dunleavy work with Susan Freedman (Chinese Cup) and Mel Tomlinson (?) (Teapot). -- Continuation of rehearsal for the Teapot and the Chinese Cup (ca. 31 min.) -- Rehearsal for Fire and the child (ca. 14 min.) / recorded on February 12, 1981. Balanchine and Dunleavy work with von Aroldingen and Byars -- Rehearsal for the Teapot and the Chinese Cup (ca. 17 min.) / recorded on February 12, 1981. Compilation of five rehearsals for the Dance in America program The spellbound child, first telecast on May 25, 1981.
