Two independent recordings of two different unrelated broadcasts. Hosted by Lloyd Dobyns, the 1st, shown on "First Camera" program, is a chronicle of violin making that includes a report on Violin Making School of America in Salt Lake City founded by Mr. Prier in 1972. Commentators include Francais, a dealer in classical string instruments, Zygmuntowics, a violin maker, and Young Uck Kim, violinist.The 2nd, part of "Great performances" programs, is a profile of Leonard Bernstein, prominent American conductor, composer and piano performer, portrayed in a performance of two complete works by Mozart filmed at Musikverein in Vienna, and in excerpts from his master classes in Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute with Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and students Michael Barrett, Eiji Oue, Leonid Grin, Carol Crawford, and Mark Janas.
