Notes
Ownership: From the Kansas portion of the 25th anniversary broadcast of the Contiental Baking Company over the CBS network
Content: Printed on mount: "Original farmhouse near hutchinson, Kansas, was bought years ago by the Father of Walter Pierce, the present owner. Consisting of 1/4 section, it was sold by a man who wouldn't keep up the payments on a $300 mortgage. Today, the farm complete with a modern home consists of 650 acres, a tribute to modern progressive management. The first Pawnee wheat ever raised, was grown here in 1941. This strain of wheat goes into the flour from which Wonder Bread is baked. (The farm appears in the Rising Wonder broadcast, on page 13 of the script.)"
