Content: Letter from Eugene Klein, Rare Postage Stamps, 1318 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Benjamin K. Miller, The Milwaukee Club, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Written in pencil in upper right corner "1908 1c old no 323 / New no 331 Acq No 3310 / Price $100;" Stamped in red ink upper right corner "Jan 23 1922 / Jan 23 1922;" Written in pencil in lower right area next to typewritten paragraph describing 1c Franklin "393 [checkmark];" Letterhead in upper left corner "Cable Address 'Kleinstamp' Telephone 'Walnut 770'/Eugene Klein / Rare Postage Stamps / 1318 Chestnut Street/Philadelphia, PA. / Member of the Juries of the Chicago 1911 and / New York 1913 International Philatelic Exhibitions. / Honorary Member of the New York Stamp Society. / Life Member of the Junior Philatelic Society London / And the Society Francaise de Timbrologie Paris." Typewritten in body of letter "January 21, 1922 / Dear Mr. Miller, / I enclose herewith on approval an 18c rate registered cover from Kingsport, Tennessee to Clinton, New York used in 1870. The price is $5. / With regard to the part perforate pair of 1c stamps I recently sold you, I have been told that it comes from an experimental sheet in which every other vertical row was imperforate. It was intended to cut these imperforate places for booklets. This seems to be borne out by Mr. Hurd's strip in which each alternate row is imperforate. / With best regards / Yours sincerely, / [signed] Eugene Klein / K/L / enc."
