Biographical/historical: The young ladies' journal was published in British and American editions. The source of this print has not been determined.

Description
Large-format fashion illustration, consisting of three rows of full-length female figures modeling fancy-dress costumes and evening attire. The seven women in the top row each has an individual caption (left to right): The Sea, Winter, Dancing Girl, Primrose, Lady Bird, Morning, Sophia. The center row depicts ten figures, including children as well as adult women. The five figures at left, wearing fancy-dress costumes, are captioned (left to right): Pierrette, Wallachian Girl, Marquise, Lady of the Court Henry II, Neapolitan Fishwife. The five figures at right wear contemporary fashionable garments, as do the seven women in the bottom row.
