Interview with Paul Taylor conducted by John Gruen, as host on radio station WNCN-FM, New York on its series The sound of dance, for broadcast on January 5, 1976. The program includes commercial announcements made both by Gruen and Oscar Buhler. Streaming file (approximately 58 minutes). [Introductory and commercial announcements made by Oscar Buhler]. John Gruen introduces Paul Taylor and the upcoming performances by his company [Paul Taylor Dance Company]; Taylor and Gruen speak about the works to be performed including Taylor's work Runes and his From sea to shining sea; Taylor's background; dancing for Martha Graham including in Graham's and Balanchine's work Episodes; the names of the dancers in the Paul Taylor Dance Company; the many styles of modern dance; Taylor's work Esplanade [a recorded excerpt from the music, by J.S.
