Content: [In Jung Chun] Built in 1404, this grand hall was destroyed by Japanese invaders during the Hideyoshi invasion in 1592. It was rebuilt by Kwang-hai the 15th King, in 1609, again destroyed by fire in 1803 during the reign of Soonjo (23rd King of Yi Dynasty), and rebuilt in 1804. Complete renovation came in the 2nd year of Soonjong's rule and during the reign of Soonjong, the 27th and the last King of Yi Dynasty (1908). Emperor Kojong (the 26th) often gave audience to United States Minister, Lucius Foote, in this hall in 1884.[4]
