Description
Part 1. Leida Snow interviews Charles Koppelman, musician, music producer, and businessman who talks about his career as a music producer, and about his position as Vice President/General Manager of worldwide publishing for CBS Records, the company that independently administered and promoted song catalogs and produced music artists like Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton, Diana Ross, the Four Tops, and Cher. Part 2. Leida Snow interviews Mike Love, American musician, singer, and songwriter, who talks about his musical career as a member and co-founder of the band Beach Boys; about his touring concerts with two bands, Beach Boys and Celebration, the other band that he fronted in the 1970's; about the release of his new album; and about the song "Almost summer" that was written as a soundtrack for the 1978 movie "Almost summer" by Mike Love, and was performed the band Celebration. He also discusses transcendental meditation that he practices and teaches. Excerpts of Love's songs are played during the program.
