Description
Martin Bookspan interviews American classical music composer Ezra Laderman during an undated broadcast. Laderman speaks about his regrets about his decision not to take any formal teaching assignments at the time, and his wish to start teaching composition in a universities; about contemporary music composers and performers of various musical styles, such as symphonic music and opera; and about his career as a contemporary music composer. Being a member of ASCAP, the composer talks about the importance of ASCAP as an organization that protects performance rights.
