Description
Martin Bookspan interviews American composer, lyricist, and writer for musical theater Harold Rome during an undated broadcast. Rome speaks about his life and career as a musical composer and songwriter. He comments on the music and lyrics that he wrote for various Broadway musicals and revues such as Pins and needles (1937) and Fanny (1954); on his writing style; on his influences; and on the new traditions that brought American musical theater to the great success.
