Content: Videotaped on March 12, 1983 for the Dance in America series. Produced by Alan Yentob for The Catherine Wheel, inc. in association with Educational Broadcasting Corporation and the National Video Corporation. Dance in America producer: Judy Kinberg. Director/choreographer: Twyla Tharp. Music produced, composed and performed by David Byrne. Sets and costumes designed by Santo Loquasto. Computer animation by Computer Graphics Laboratory, New York Institute of Technology. Video effects: Dave Jervis. Videotape editor: Stan Pow. Performed by members of Twyla Tharp and Dancers company: Sara Rudner (the leader), Jennifer Way (the mother), Tom Rawe (the father), Katie Glasner (the sister), Raymond Kurshals (the brother), Shelley Washington (the maid), Christine Uchida (the pet), John Carrafa (the poet), with Richard Colton, William Whitener, John Malashock, Mary Ann Kellogg, Shelley Freydont, Keith Young and Barbara Hoon as the chorus.

Description
Actual dance begins about 15 minutes after shots of rehearsals, brief sections of the dance and interviews with Tharp and other cast members about the dance and some of the symbolism involved. Last 26 minutes of dance on second cassette begins approximately in the middle of the family loop section.
