Description
A declaration of Rights made by the Representatives of the Good People of Virginia, assembled in full and free Convention; which Rights do pertain to them and their Posterity, as the Basis & foundation of Government. At the end is the note: "This declaration of Rights was the first in America: -- it received a few alterations in the Virginia Convention (some of them not for the better) and was afterwards closely Imitated by the other United States. G. M." Contemporary copy of the first draft by George Mason.
