Description
Part 1, Part 2 (00:00-15:39). Radio interview with Alfred Brendel, Austrian pianist, poet and author, who is widely considered to be one of the greatest pianists of all time. Brendel discusses the composers, whose music he likes to play such as Haydn, Liszt, Schubert, Beethoven and about various aspects of their musical works; his writings; his concert [1985] tour in the USA; and his new recordings. Recordings of Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, and Liszt piano works performed by Brendel solo as well as with orchestra are played during the interview. Part 2 (15:40-27:27). Excerpt from an interview with an unidentified violinist.
