Description
Leida Snow interviews American theatrical producer Emanuel Azenberg, who provides his skeptical opinion on contemporary theater's survival during the TV and film era, calling it "Theater diminishing," and how theater lost its influence on people's lives. Azenberg compares the current situation of audience's lack of interest in the English-speaking theater with a similar situation with Yiddish theater in America that was very popular in New York in the 1920-'s-1930's, but could not survive longer because of lack of Yiddish-speaking audience. He also talks about his career, and his long-term professional collaboration with the playwright Neil Simon.
