Description
The program includes excerpts from the Bill Moran shows on radio BNN [Business News Network], and recordings that probably made for the program. Excerpt 1 (00-19:33 minutes). Leida Snow interviews unidentified theatrical person [Bill Moran?] on cultural news in New York City on telephone. They talk about various shows that run in New York, the productions of new musicals, such as the 1998 production of the musicals "The Lion King" and "The Capeman," and the revivals of musicals, such as the "Sound of music" and "Cabaret," and others. Excerpt 2 (19:45-38:25 minutes). Contains fragment in which Leida Snow provides reviews for various shows such as the 1998 production of the musical "Lion King"; revivals of the musicals "Cabaret" and "Ragtime" (that received the 1998 Tony Awards: Best Featured Actress (McDonald), Original Score, Book, and Orchestrations; and thirteen Tony Award nominations); "Corpus Christi," a play by Terrence McNally dramatizing the story of Jesus and the Apostles (the planned production of the play in New York City was cancelled and then reinstated); "Stupid kids," the play by John C. Russell; "Getting and spending," the play by Michael J. Chepiga; Na Zdorovye-L'Chaim-To Life Festival '98, and others. The excerpt also includes radio commercials. Excerpt 3 (38:46-51:17 minutes).
