Part 1. Compilation of BBC cultural radio programs recorded in 1990. Includes review of Taxi blues, the 1990 Soviet drama film directed by Pavel Lungin; Miller's crossing, the 1990 American neo-noir black comedy gangster film written and directed by the Coen brothers; Leida Snow's report on Yiddish musical "Those were the days" produced by Moe Septee, Zalmen Mlotek, musical director, and Smoke on the mountain, off-Broadway musical mostly based on old hymns written by Connie Ray and conceived by Alan Bailey. Part 2. Compilation of BBC cultural radio programs recorded in 1991. Includes program dedicated to the death of English ballerina Margot Fonteyn (February 21, 1991); the review of the 41st annual Berlin International Film Festival held February 15-26, 1991; Snow's report on the 1991 Broadway premiere of Neil Simon's play "Lost in Yonkers"; and report from the 1991 Carnival of Cádiz, music festival in Andalusia, Spain.
